THE MUSINGS OF AN OLD MAN

by Dr. Homer G. Ritchie

How is the cause of Christ served by David Stokes' book?  What is the point?  Why does he try to destroy the reputation of a man who has been dead for nearly 60 years?  How does this help to spread the Gospel?  What good does it do for the cause of Christ?

I wonder if it wasn't just written out of spite, or to gain a hearing among the media elite on the beltway?

The men with whom J. Frank Norris had the greatest conflicts in his lifetime never accused him of murder, including G. B. Vick, George W. Truett, and the leaders of the Southern Baptist Convention.  None of these men ever accused Dr. Norris of murder, as David Stokes does.  That's all I have to say on this subject - at this time!
